ENHK is a member of the Every Nation family of churches and ministries around the world. As a member church, we subscribe to the Every Nation mission:
To honour God and establish Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation.
Our mission describes why we exist, what we do, how we build and where we go.
WHY?
To honour God.
We are a church whose starting point, ultimate goal and primary motive is to honour God. The chief end of ENHK is to “honor Him and enjoy Him forever.” This is foundational for understanding why we do what we do. ENHK is all about Him.
WHAT?
To establish churches and campus ministries.
We are a church called to plant new churches and campus ministries that reach every major secondary school and university in Hong Kong.
HOW?
Christ-centered
We are a church that is centred on Jesus Christ, not for any man, doctrine or experience to take centre stage.
17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossians 1:17, 18
Spirit-empowered
We are a church that welcomes and celebrates the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to empower us to live lives that honour God and become effective witnesses to our community.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Socially Responsible
We are a church that demonstrates Christ to the community and culture that we are in.
Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. Proverbs 14:31
“He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’” Matthew 25:45
WHERE?
Every nation
We are a church called to advance God’s kingdom in every nation.
19“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19,20
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Revelation 7:9
